High Speed Performance
Engines are complex assemblies that propel the aircraft. The air is sucked in through the fan blades and then expelled at high speed behind the engine, creating the necessary thrust. The air flow passes through a low- pressure compressor and then a high-pressure compressor leading to the combustion chamber where energy is created by the combustion of fuel and compressed air.
The rotating parts of the engine have to face many challenges. They must in fact withstand temperatures of up to 800 ° C, resist corrosion and withstand possible shocks during the landing and take-off phases. The forging manufacturing process makes it possible to obtain parts with the optimal geometry and weight / power ratio for these applications.
Setforge, a subsidiary of Farinia Group, is able to forge a wide range of engine components such as turbine blades. These critical parts forged in super alloys undergo the most severe controls in our NADCAP certified companies.
