Critical Operations
Drilling operations for oil and gas wells are fundamental operations for the exploitation of these resources. Carried out at sea or on land, these are critical and difficult. There are mainly two distinct drilling methods. The most classic, which involves drilling the ground vertically using a drill bit and the injection of high-pressure drilling mud, and which makes it possible to reach underground oil or gas fields.
The second, less conventional, called hydraulic fracturing or fracking, extracts gas or oil trapped in substrates too dense for conventional methods. The mixture of water and sand under pressure causes a network of fractures in the rock and allows the release of particles.
For these two methods, Setforge Group is able to produce high-added value parts resistant to high levels of pressure and corrosion. Manufactured with drop forging up to 400 kgs or by electrical upsetting, our production panel includes, among others, various components for high pressure valves, forged tubes and teeth.
