Materials for additive manufacturing
In the Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) process, the powder quality is a key factor of success.
QUALITY IS A KEY
While plastics, ceramics and silicone are common materials for 3d printed commercial products, the industrial additive manufacturing works mainly with high-quality metal powders.
Available metals are:
- Maraging steels
- Stainless steels: 316L, 15-5PH, 17-4PH
- Nickel-based super-alloys: Inconel 718, Inconel 625, Hastelloy X
- Titanium Ti6Al4V (or TA6V) alloy
- Cobalt-Chrome alloy
- Aluminium alloy AlSi10Mg
In the Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) process, the powder quality is a key factor of success. Spartacus3D works with recognized powder suppliers with the objective to offer most precise mechanical properties. All metal powders used by Spartacus3D conform to the capacity and mechanism of the EOS machines. We also develop specific parameters for other steel or aluminium powders.
